POSITION SUMMARY The District Communications Coordinator creates and maintains digital content to promote parental and community engagement at both the school and district level.

Essential Functions Statement(s) Work with the Communications Director to ensure district communication plan is implemented.
Strategize and promote school and district initiatives.
Design and develop graphics.
Assist with the creation of digital newsletters to keep open lines of communication between the district and the community.
Coordinate with the Technology Department to ensure the website is running and up to date with the latest technologies.
Coordinate the development and content updates of the district website.
Assist and train personnel with posting content on school and department websites.
Review district and school websites on a frequent basis to ensure that content is current and relevant.
Recommend website improvements and develop budgets to support recommendations.
Produce digital content for website and social media.
Assist and train personnel with filming, creating, and producing appropriate digital content.
Use analytics to monitor engagement and reach to internal and external audiences.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and new technologies and make recommendations to solve problems where applicable.
Develop and implement efficient systems to streamline workflow at district level.
Assist in implementation of crisis communication plan.
Coordinate data for the mass notification system.
Report suspected bullying to building principal or designee as required by Arkansas law and district policies.
Report to proper authorities any cases of suspected child endangerment, neglect, or abuse.
Adhere to all policies of the District.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Communications Director or Superintendent.
